Pedalling Down India’s Premier Cycling Trails

India’s first-ever Sky-Cycling park is all set to open to the public in a fortnight. The park, which is located in the Gulaba district of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, aims to set a new standard in adventure sports. The first of its kind anywhere in the country, the new cycling park is elevated to a height of 9000 feet, and will offer adventure-sports enthusiasts and tourists a new perspective of the calm beauty and serenity of the mountainous region.

Chennai to Pondicherry

Duration: 2 Days

Difficulty: Easy

Known for its incomparable seaside sights, the East Coast Road that links Chennai to Pondicherry offers a relatively comfortable ride, complete with sparkling beaches and yielding roads.

Somnath to Diu

Duration: Approximately 3-4 days

Difficulty: Moderate

The journey from Somnath to Diu in Gujarat is one that inspires and instills a sense of awe and beauty. Take your bicycle down this trail with the sea as your escort, and experience the wonders of the coast as you have never witnessed it before. Stop off for a visit to the Gir National Park for some down-time spent amongst nature.

Coorg to Munnar

Duration: 7 Days

Difficulty: Moderate

A ride through the Nilgiris is not one to be missed. Experience the calm of rural plantations as you ride down the winding, twisting roads, through lush green forests and vegetation. Experience the true natural beauty of Tamil Nadu, with its stunning natural landscapes and comfortable, temperate weather.

Gangtok to Nathu La Pass

Duration: 2 Days

Difficulty: Hard

This cycling track through the breathtaking snowy mountains and the gorgeous Tsomgo lake runs close to the Indo-Chinese border in Sikkim and is frequented by the army. An incomparable experience, the tough journey rewards one with an enchanting experience fit for cycling enthusiasts.


Duration: 10 Days

Difficulty: Expert

Not for the faint of heart, this extreme trail tests both skill and endurance. Located at a high altitude, one must prepare for this trail well in advance. If you’re up to the test, however, the towering mountains will part, revealing the old-world beauty and charm of our country’s natural terrain.
